Angling Results: Saturday 12 May 2007
On a lovely sunny Saturday morning, the serious business of fishing started early. Bait was prepared, gear was ready and the "padkos" was packed.
The result of a very hard day's work by 33 entrants resulted in 23 fish caught by 12 fishermen with a total weight of 42.9 kg's. Of course the ones that got away made for the normal fisherman's tales and advice on what you should and should not have done.
The "catch of the day" was made by Johan de Kock. He caught a 12.6kg Steenbras which resulted in him winning the "Heaviest bag", as well as the "Biggest fish" for the day.
Other good catches were made by Tienie Griesel - 4.5kg Steenbras, Dean Versveld - 3.7kg Musselcracker, Jan Brink - 3.5kg Steenbras, and Jacques Viviers & Anton Carinus each catching a 1.6 kg Galjoen.

The competition is now on to catch up with Jacques Viviers who is currently at no.1 with 100.6 points. There are 7 competitions remaining for 2007.
The next club competition will be held on Saturday 9 June 2007 and weigh-in will take place at 17h00. Remember to register on Friday night.
