OPENING: The chairperson opened the meeting
at 16:10 and Shirley committed this time to the

MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES OF 14 MAY 2007:
3.1
Item 5.2 - Briers Farm Access Road & Resort
Development: An objection was submitted.
3.2 Item 5.4 -
Tarring of roads: A priority list was
received. Perlemoen Street was due for tarring
in June 2007. The next two on the list were Broadway
and the remainder of Twist. The RPA would submit
a revised priority list, as well as an objection
to the tarring of Perlemoen.
3.3 Item 5.5 -
Public Police Meeting, 16 June 2007, 10:00, Angling
Club: At the request of the RPA, the
SAPS in conjunction with the RPA and Pearly Beach
Patrols will hold a public meeting to discuss
safety and security issues in Pearly Beach. <<Back

MEMBERSHIP MATTERS & FINANCE: One new
membership: Simon and Fiona Arenhold, Twist Street. <<Back

CORRESPONDENCE & COMMUNICATIONS:
5.1
Nuclear Meeting: A public meeting will
be held at the Angling Club on 13 June 2007 between
13:00 and 16:00, to inform Pearly Beach residents
about the proposed Eskom Nuclear Power Station at
Bantamsklip, 10km south east of Pearly Beach.
5.2 Traffic Calming
Measures: Speed bumps will be erected
at the following locations, as funds become available:
Erf 520/521 - Arcadia; Erf 153/154 - Central;
Erf 183/184 - Central; Erf 323/324 - Central;
Erf 408/409 - Ridge; Erf 125/126 - Crest; Erf
216/217 - Crest.
5.3 The Licensing
Department at the Gansbaai Municipality
will be open between 08:00 and 13:00, effective
as from 01 July 2007. <<Back

REPORTS ON MEETINGS: Ward meeting: R15,000
has been allocated to Eluxolweni in order to tile
the Crèche and Community Hall, as well as
erect a protective fence/wall around the veg garden. <<Back

GENERAL REPORTS:
7.1
Police Report: Seven break-ins were reported
at the Resort in one night. Twenty-nine break-ins
were reported over a two-month period in the town.
7.2 Block Report:
An abandoned Mercedes in Broadway was reported
by a block-watcher. The Traffic Department and
Police investigated and found that the license
had expired in 2004. The car was impounded and
has an outstanding fine of R1,000.
7.3 Building Report:
No new plans had been approved. <<Back
